A case of sexual violence has emerged from Lucknow’s Hazratganj area, where a 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by three known perpetrators on Monday night. The crime was discovered when the victim’s elder sister noticed bloodstains and injuries on her clothes Tuesday morning and persuaded her to reveal the traumatic incident.

According to police, the accused—reportedly familiar to the family—lured the girl from her home while her relatives were asleep. After the assault, they abandoned her near her residence. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area and analyzing mobile tower data to corroborate the evidence.

“The victim has identified the suspects, but we are verifying all evidence before making arrests,” said ACP Hazratganj Vikas Jaiswal.

The traumatized girl is currently unable to provide a detailed statement.

(The victim’s identity has been protected as per legal guidelines.)
