Police in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar district have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing minors and young men and later blackmailing them with videos, officials said.
The accused, identified as Chetan Prakash Koli, a resident of Raisingpura, allegedly lured minors by offering them money before exploiting them and threatening to circulate their videos on social media. Police suspect that the alleged abuse may have continued since 2022.
Police Recover More Than 600 Obscene Videos
The investigation began after police received confidential information that a man was allegedly targeting minors. During a search of Koli’s mobile phone, investigators reportedly recovered more than 600 obscene videos and several photographs, Nandurbar Superintendent of Police Ashwini Sanap said.
“The police received confidential information that a man was luring minors with money and committing crimes against them,” Sanap said.
The seized mobile phone has been sent to a forensic team for detailed examination. Investigators are now working to identify the individuals seen in the videos and photographs and contact them to record their statements.

Police Probe Alleged Abuse Since 2022
According to police, the preliminary investigation suggests that Koli may have been involved in the alleged abuse since 2022. Officials are examining the digital evidence to determine the number of victims and the full extent of the alleged offences.
“Based on those videos and photographs, victims will be contacted, and their statements will be recorded,” Sanap said.
Police are continuing their investigation and are attempting to identify other possible survivors and establish whether additional people were involved in the alleged offences.
