Bittu Bajrangi, a key accused in the Nuh violence case, in Faridabad, Haryana, on Saturday, urged Hindu women to shun Muslim businesses during Diwali. He boasted that he would rush to the rescue of any Hindu woman in peril within 10 minutes, even in the dead of night.

Bajrangi, who is currently out on bail, can be heard making these remarks in a video that has gone viral on social media. He said, “On Diwali, no Hindu woman should buy goods from these monsters (Muslims). Buy from our own Hindu brothers! Because if they (Muslims) progress, they butcher our mothers, sisters, and our holy cows.”

“They (Muslims) feign brotherhood only when less in numbers, and oppress our mothers and sisters when they are in a majority. Everyone knows what happened in Mewat.”

Mewat, also known as Nuh, is a district in Haryana where a communal clash broke out on August 25, 2023, between two groups over a land dispute. The violence left six people dead and several injured. Bajrangi was among the 33 people arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in the incident.

Bajrangi “requested” all Hindu mothers and sisters to buy goods only from their Hindu brothers’ shops on the occasion of Diwali. said, “We have no concerns for anyone.”

“Not just in Faridabad, if any mother or sister from the entire country calls me, your son, your brother (Bittu Bajrangi), will reach you in 10 minutes, even in the dead of night. I am always ready to serve and protect my Hindu daughters and sisters, and even sacrifice my life for them”, he claimed.

Bajrangi was arrested over a provocative speech by the Nuh police. A case was registered against him after a complaint by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Usha Kundu at Nuh Sadar police station. The FIR against Bajrangi and the others has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 148 (riots), 149 (unlawful assembly), 332 (causing hurt), 353, 186 (obstructing a public servant from discharging duty), 395, 397 (armed robbery), and 506 (criminal intimidation) and provisions of the Arms Act.
