Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is once again in the spotlight, not only for academics but also for sports. Nabeela Khan, a B.Sc. Biochemistry student from AMU’s Women’s College, helped lead Team Uttar Pradesh to gold at the Federation Cup 2025 Roller Skating Derby Championship held in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Nabeela played a key role throughout the tournament. Her team crushed Tamil Nadu 44–11 in the pool stage and later defeated host team Rajasthan 26–12 in the final.

Alongside Nabeela, another AMU student, Syeda Laiba Ali, a Class X graduate, was also part of the winning team.

Nabeela’s journey to the state team began after an intensive 10-day training camp in Mohali in 2024. Known for her speed and smart play, she had already made a mark with five national medals, including three golds in roller derby.

Despite her sports achievements, Nabeela hasn’t neglected her studies. She cleared the NEET exam twice and continues to maintain excellent academic performance.
