Two juice vendors, Zeeshan and Mahtab, were arrested in the Nandgram area after a complaint alleged they were mixing urine into the juice served to Kanwariyas, police said on Sunday.

The vendors operated a juice shop at Sihani Chungi on the Delhi-Meerut Highway, a key route for the annual Kanwar Yatra.

The arrests followed a complaint filed by Bajrang Dal functionary Shekhar Sharma.

Additional Commissioner of Police Nandgram, Poonam Mishra, said the Food Safety Department sent a team to the shop, collected juice samples for testing, and identified unhygienic conditions, leading to the shop’s sealing. Test results are expected within 15 days.
