South African spinner Keshav Maharaj claimed the top spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings, edging past India’s Mohammed Siraj, who held the position briefly. Maharaj’s stellar performance in the World Cup, with seven wickets in three matches, including a four-for against New Zealand, propelled him to the summit. However, the difference is minimal, with just three rating points separating the top two bowlers.

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Kuldeep Yadav secure the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Bumrah leads the wicket-taking charts for India in the tournament with 17 scalps.

In batting, Shubman Gill continues to reign as the top-ranked batsman, maintaining his lead over Pakistan’s Babar Azam. Gill, the sixth-highest run-scorer for India in the World Cup, has amassed 270 runs in seven matches.

Virat Kohli holds firm in the fourth spot among batters, leading India’s run charts with 594 runs in nine outings, including two centuries and five half-centuries. Rohit Sharma follows closely in fifth place, while Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are ranked 13th and jointly 17th.

In the all-rounders’ category, Ravindra Jadeja claims the 10th spot, while Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan continues to dominate the rankings. Hardik Pandya, sidelined due to an ankle injury, has dropped to 16th.
