A Dalit youth was allegedly assaulted in Khaga Nagar of Fatehpur district after a minor altercation near Naveen bus stop. The victim, Aditya Kumar, said that he was on his bicycle on Tuesday when his bike accidentally brushed against that of Krishna Patel, a resident of Bairagi Purva.
According to Aditya, Patel and his associates stopped him and launched a violent attack. “They beat me badly, hit my head, and I was bleeding heavily. They also used caste-based abuses against me,” he said in his complaint.
Aditya was rushed to the Hardo Community Health Centre, where he is undergoing treatment.
Khaga Kotwali in-charge Inspector R.K. Singh confirmed the incident. “A case has been registered, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty. The victim will be given justice, and we will not tolerate anyone disturbing law and order,” Singh said.
