Anjali and Abhigyan, students of Delhi University and members of the All India Student’s Association (AISA), on Friday, alleged that they were confined within their apartment by the Delhi Police just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to the university.

“Comrade @abhigyan_AISA and I, we are being held at our flat because PM is coming to campus! Why is @narendramodi so afraid of us?” tweeted Anjali.

Anjali, who holds the position of secretary in the AISA Delhi University unit, took to Twitter to share photographs revealing her and her colleague’s confinement inside their flat.

“We were detained at our flat based on suspicion.” Similarly, Abhigyan’s placard stated, “Prior to Modi’s visit, we were held at our flat for 3.5 hours,” she said in the tweet.

“Whole campus turned into police canton,” she alleged.
