Hyderabad Man Arjun Arrested for Duping 20+ Women via Fake Love Affairs, Minor Cheated of ₹13 Lakh

Hyderabad police arrest man accused of cheating women, including a minor, using fake relationships and fraud.

Police in Hyderabad have arrested a 29-year-old man accused of cheating multiple women, including a minor, by luring them into romantic relationships and extracting money.

The accused, identified as Koduri Chandrasekhar Azad, alias Arjun, is a native of Guntur and was living in Kukatpally. He was arrested by Jubilee Hills Police following a complaint filed by a minor girl.

According to police, the accused allegedly targeted women from affluent backgrounds through social media, built trust by posing as a wealthy individual, and later asked for money citing business investments and personal needs.

Minor Allegedly Duped of ₹13 Lakh

Police said the accused convinced a minor girl from Jubilee Hills to give him ₹13.11 lakh, claiming he was starting a business.

Officials revealed that he had earlier been booked under the POCSO Act in connection with the same victim. After securing bail, he allegedly reconnected with her and cheated her again.

Investigators believe a similar pattern was used to target nearly 10 women.

‘Luxury Lifestyle’ Used as Trap

Police suspect that the accused used money taken from victims to create a fake image of wealth, including buying a car and showcasing a lavish lifestyle.

“This luxury image helped him gain trust and lure more women,” an official said, adding that the strategy appeared to be part of a planned fraud.

Blackmail Angle Under Investigation

In a related development, police have also booked a woman, identified as the wife of a driver, for allegedly blackmailing the minor victim.

She is accused of extorting ₹9 lakh by threatening to reveal the victim’s communication with the accused to her family. Police said this angle is still under investigation.

More Victims May Come Forward

A second woman has also filed a complaint, alleging that the accused cheated her in the name of love and took her gold chain. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and transferred to Narsingi Police.

Officials suspect that more victims could emerge as the probe expands. “We believe the accused may have targeted several women using the same method,” police said.

The accused has been remanded to judicial custody, and further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.
