BJP’s Parvesh Verma Calls Arvind Kejriwal “Rehman Dacoit,” Sparks Fresh Political Row in Delhi

Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma targets Arvind Kejriwal over “Sheesh Mahal 2” claims.

A sharp political exchange erupted in Delhi after Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of hypocrisy and living a luxurious lifestyle despite earlier promises of simplicity.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Verma alleged that Kejriwal had built a lavish residence, which he described as “Sheesh Mahal 2,” and went as far as calling him the “Rehman dacoit of Delhi.”

“Sheesh Mahal 2” Allegation

Verma claimed that Kejriwal continued construction and upgrades of his residence even during the COVID-19 crisis, when people were struggling for basic medical support.

“Delhi’s people were suffering during COVID, asking for medicines, but work on his Sheesh Mahal never stopped,” Verma said. He added, “Now we are going to show ‘Sheesh Mahal 2’ to the public.”

He also targeted Kejriwal for allegedly abandoning his earlier image of a common man. “The person who came to power in the name of simplicity is now living in luxury,” he said, referring to the former CM’s reported move to a government bungalow at Lodhi Estate.

Verma further alleged that the interiors of the residence resemble a “seven-star hotel,” claiming it includes multiple bedrooms and high-end facilities.

Punjab Angle and AAP Leaders Targeted

The BJP leader also took aim at Kejriwal’s role in Punjab politics, alleging that after political setbacks in Delhi, he shifted focus to Punjab, creating pressure for Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

He claimed that several AAP leaders, including Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh, and Manish Sisodia, had occupied government accommodations near Mann’s residence.

AAP Rejects Claims, Calls Images “Fake”

The Aam Aadmi Party strongly denied the allegations. Delhi leader Atishi dismissed the claims as misleading and said the visuals shown by Verma were not of Kejriwal’s house.

“All the pictures released are fake. They are not images of Kejriwal ji’s residence,” she said, challenging BJP leaders to open their own homes for public comparison.

Echoing the response, Sanjay Singh warned of legal action against Verma and media outlets airing the visuals. “Prepare for a defamation case,” he said, adding that the public should be allowed to see all leaders residences to judge the truth.
