The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Karnataka has outlined a plan to engage with over 29,000 villages ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.

Tippeswamy, the RSS Kshetra Karyanirvahak, shared details of the initiative, stating, “We have organized a Sampark Abhiyaan scheduled to run from January 1 to January 15. This 15-day campaign aims to reach every one of the 29,500 villages in the state.”

As part of the outreach, people will receive sacred raw rice known as Mantrakshate, a photograph of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and informative handbills from Ayodhya. The primary goal of this initiative is to educate people about the historical importance of Lord Ram and his challenges.

Tippeswamy said, “On the day of the inauguration, main temples in each village will host ‘satsang,’ special worship, and ‘Ram Jap’ programs. Additionally, LED screens will be set up, broadcasting live coverage of the Ram temple inauguration. Furthermore, every household is encouraged to light five diyas in the direction of Ayodhya in the evening.”

The campaign is expected to involve several volunteers, with an estimated 1.5 lakh individuals participating in the Sampark Abhiyan. Tippeswamy said that the Ram Pratisthapan event specifies that the rituals would commence three days before the inauguration and take place between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m
