Security has been significantly increased at the disputed Bhojshala Complex in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, a week after the Madhya Pradesh High Court reportedly declared the site a temple and halted namaz at the complex.
Following the court’s verdict, Hindu devotees were allowed to perform puja at the site. Religious rituals and a Maha Aarti were held at Bhojshala, drawing large crowds and celebrations among Hindu devotees.
The development comes amid heightened tension after the ruling on the long-disputed site, which has historically been claimed by both Hindu and Muslim communities. The High Court reportedly ruled that the Bhojshala complex is a Saraswati temple, a decision that has triggered strong reactions and increased administrative vigilance.
Security Intensified Ahead of Friday
On the first Friday after the court order, authorities intensified security arrangements amid concerns that some groups might attempt to offer namaz at the premises despite the ruling.
A video of Sachin Sharma, Superintendent of Police of Dhar district, circulated widely on social media in which he warned against any attempt to violate the law.

“Anyone who has the guts or believes they can challenge the law should try tomorrow (Friday). We are fully prepared, and strict action will be taken against them,” Sharma said in the video.
Police Warn Against Misinformation
He also warned against spreading misinformation or distorted claims regarding the court’s order on social media and said law and order would be maintained at any cost. At the end of his speech, the officer was also heard chanting “Bharat Mata ki Jai.”
In another video circulating online, SP Sharma was seen inspecting security arrangements around Bhojshala on horseback while accompanied by a large police contingent.
Heavy Police Presence Around Complex
Authorities have maintained a strong police presence around the complex to prevent any untoward incident and ensure compliance with the court’s order at the site in Dhar.
