A student preparing for the Civil Services Examination in Delhi has accused an acquaintance and two other men of gang rape in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City area after allegedly being held captive for three days.

Police said a case has been registered following a “zero FIR” initially lodged at the Government Railway Police (GRP) station in Delhi’s Anand Vihar. The case has now been transferred to Lucknow Police for investigation.

Victim Says She Was Taken Off Train in Lucknow

According to the complaint, the student, originally from Jaunpur and studying BA Honours in a Delhi college, was returning to Delhi on May 15 after visiting her family.

Police said the woman was travelling on the Suheldev Express when she allegedly contacted an old acquaintance, identified as Shivam Yadav, through WhatsApp.

When the train reached Lucknow’s Charbagh railway station, Shivam Yadav and another man, identified as Shani Yadav, allegedly convinced her to get off the train and took her to a room near Medanta Hospital in the Sushant Golf City area.

Allegation of Drugging and Repeated Sexual Assault

In her complaint, the student alleged that after reaching the room, she was given coffee allegedly mixed with sleeping pills.

She claimed she became unconscious after consuming the drink and was sexually assaulted by Shivam Yadav.

The survivor further alleged that on the following day, another accused, Shani Yadav, assaulted her multiple times, and on May 17, a third unidentified man joined them.

According to the complaint, the three men allegedly assaulted her repeatedly until May 18 while keeping her confined inside the room.

The woman also claimed the accused used to lock the room from outside whenever they left, preventing her from escaping.

Survivor Returned to Delhi, Informed Family on Train

Police said the accused later took the woman to Charbagh railway station on May 18 and sent her back to Delhi by train.

According to officials, the student informed her father about the alleged assault while the train was near Bareilly. Her family then contacted railway helpline 139.

A GRP team later intervened, and the survivor filed a complaint in Delhi in the presence of family members.

Five Teams Formed to Arrest Accused

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rallapalli Basanth Kumar said a case has been registered at Sushant Golf City police station based on the zero FIR.

“We received information that the victim has alleged rape by persons known to her in the Sushant Golf City area of Lucknow. The case has been transferred from Delhi and investigation is underway,” the officer said.

Police said five teams have been formed to arrest the accused, identified as Shivam Yadav, Shani Yadav, and one unidentified person.

Authorities added that the accused and survivor reportedly knew each other for several years and had family connections, though the allegations are being investigated independently.
