India’s maiden private drone manufacturing hub in Hyderabad has dispatched over 20 Hermes 900 UAVs to Israel, as revealed by international Defense business media outlet Shephard Media.

“These UAVs are now playing a crucial role in the Israel-Hamas conflict,” stated sources familiar with the matter.

The UAVs, boasting advanced carbon composite aerostructures, were crafted at the 50,000-square-foot Adani facility in Hyderabad.

“The Hermes 900, equipped with cutting-edge sensors, is adept at detecting ground or maritime targets across a wide spectrum,” said industry insiders.

The drones were manufactured through a partnership between India’s Adani Defence and Aerospace and Israel’s Elbit Systems, under Hyderabad-based Adani-Elbit Advanced Systems India Ltd.

“This partnership marks a significant stride as the first entity outside of Israel to manufacture Hermes 900 UAVs,” said officials familiar with the collaboration.

The Adani Elbit Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Complex (UAV), inaugurated on December 14, 2018, in Hyderabad, was a pivotal moment attended by dignitaries including the Home Minister of Telangana, Mohammad Mahmood Ali, and high-ranking officials from Adani Enterprises Limited and Elbit Systems.
