A woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district has accused several villagers of caste-based abuse, physical assault and issuing death threats. The victim has submitted a complaint to the Superintendent of Police demanding strict legal action against the accused.
The incident was reported from Bairaspur village under the Paschim Sharira police station area.
According to the complaint, the victim, Seema Devi, alleged that the incident took place on June 12, 2026, when she was at home with her son. She claimed that a youth from the village arrived at their house and allegedly called her son outside while using casteist slurs.
When her son objected to the remarks, the accused allegedly called several of his relatives to the spot. Seema Devi alleged that the group then attacked her son with sticks, causing serious injuries to his head. She said her son collapsed unconscious during the assault.
The woman further alleged that when she tried to intervene and save her son, the accused also assaulted her.
According to the complaint, local residents rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion, following which the situation calmed down.
Seema Devi claimed that after the incident, the accused threatened to kill the entire family if they approached the police or filed a complaint. She also alleged that the same individuals had previously assaulted members of her family on earlier occasions.
The victim has urged the Superintendent of Police to conduct a fair investigation into the matter, register an FIR against the accused and initiate strict legal action.
Police officials have not yet issued a detailed public statement regarding the allegations.
