At a programme on religious conversion held at Chaudhary Charan Singh University on Sunday, Yoga Sadhana Ashram head Swami Yashveer Maharaj made several remarks on religious conversion, alleged “love jihad” and “medical jihad,” and ongoing cases involving Ayush Malik of Shamli and Tushar Chauhan of Baghpat.
Speaking at the event, Swami Yashveer Maharaj claimed that Ayush Malik, whose conversion to Islam in Shamli has sparked controversy, would soon “return to Sanatan Dharma.”
‘Ayush Malik Will Return Soon,’ Says Swami
Referring to the Shamli case, Maharaj said members of religious organisations, community groups and counsellors were in touch with Ayush Malik and trying to persuade him to return.
“I believe Ayush Malik will not remain in the Muslim community for long and will soon return home,” he said.
Maharaj also referred to Ayush’s Jat background while expressing confidence about his “ghar wapsi” (return to Hinduism). His remarks come days after Ayush Malik publicly stated that he had converted to Islam voluntarily and did not wish to return to Hinduism.
Ayush had earlier told reporters that he embraced Islam by choice and alleged that the police complaint filed by his father was made under pressure.
Raises Allegations of ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Medical Jihad’
During the programme, Swami Yashveer Maharaj alleged that Hindus were being targeted through what he described as “different forms of jihad,” including “love jihad,” “land jihad,” “property jihad,” and “medical jihad.”
He claimed families needed to remain alert to protect young people from such alleged activities.
“Earlier Hindu girls were targeted through relationships, but now Hindu boys are also allegedly being trapped and their properties targeted,” he claimed.
The religious leader also made controversial allegations involving the medical field, claiming that some Muslim doctors were allegedly using medicines to harm the Hindu community.

However, he did not provide evidence to support the claim.
Calls for Fresh Probe in Tushar Chauhan Case
Maharaj also referred to the case of Tushar Chauhan from Baghpat, demanding a fresh investigation.
He alleged that Chauhan had been led “on the wrong path” and linked to anti-national activities, while questioning whether action had been taken against those allegedly involved.
“There should be a re-investigation in the Tushar Chauhan matter,” Maharaj said, urging the Uttar Pradesh government to reopen the case.
Remarks on Kanwar Yatra
Speaking on the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, Maharaj said campaigns against people allegedly hiding their identities while operating hotels, dhabas and shops along pilgrimage routes would continue.
He said businesses should operate under their “real names and identities” and that there should be no confusion regarding religious identity during the pilgrimage.
