Despite battling severe financial and personal hardships, siblings Noorul Hassan and Samiya Khatoon from Rajasthan’s Bikaner have qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026, bringing them closer to their dream of studying at government medical colleges.

The two prepared for one of India’s toughest entrance examinations while caring for their parents during a major health crisis. Their father was suffering from kidney failure, while their mother donated one of her kidneys to save his life.

Studied Amid Medical Emergency and Difficult Living Conditions

The siblings live with their family in a single-room house in a congested locality of Old Bikaner, where constant noise made studying difficult.

Even as they looked after their recovering parents, Noorul and Samiya continued preparing for the medical entrance examination without letting their circumstances derail their ambitions.

Impressive NEET Scores

Noorul Hassan scored 609 out of 720 marks, securing a 99.6196300 percentile and an All India Rank (AIR) of 7,596.

His sister, Samiya Khatoon, scored 568 out of 720 marks, achieving a 98.76 percentile and an AIR of 24,790.

Both are hopeful of securing admission to government medical colleges in Rajasthan.

“We thank Almighty for rewarding our hard work and patience. We are hopeful to get government medical colleges in Rajasthan,” Noorul and Samiya said.

Dream of Becoming Doctors

The siblings said their difficult journey strengthened their determination to pursue medicine and serve society.

Their success comes after months of balancing rigorous NEET preparation with the responsibility of caring for their parents during the family’s medical crisis.

Their achievement stands as an example of perseverance, showing how determination and hard work can overcome even the most challenging circumstances.
