Manoj Jha, a senior leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has made allegations against the BJP government at the Centre, saying that data on electoral bonds exposes them as “the most corrupt political party in the history” of India.

Jha, the RJD’s national spokesperson, cited data available on the Supreme Court’s website, alleging that it contradicts the BJP’s claims of nationalism and reveals misuse of central investigating agencies for political gains.

Highlighting instances where private companies raided by the Enforcement Directorate subsequently purchased electoral bonds, Jha insinuated nefarious connections between BJP and corporate interests.

Jha further ridiculed BJP leaders for their social media praise of Prime Minister Modi following a minor reduction in petrol prices, labelling it as sycophancy. He questioned the timing and responsibility for the price cut, asserting that the government must be held accountable for the previous surge in prices.

He criticized the government’s decision to reduce petrol prices by a mere ₹2 per litre ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, alleging an attempt to deceive the public.

Addressing internal tensions within the ruling NDA in Bihar, Jha attributed discomfort to the growing popularity of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, particularly his focus on job creation. He coined the slogan “Naukri Matlab Tejashwi” (Tejashwi means jobs) as emblematic of this popularity.

However, Jha refrained from commenting on the internal strife within the late Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) involving factions led by his son Chirag Paswan and brother Pashupati Kumar Paras, who serves as a Union minister.
