All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday, October 25, said his party would make every effort to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from forming the government in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing a public meeting in Kairana in Shamli district, Owaisi said the AIMIM did not want Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to secure a third term in office.
“We will make every effort to ensure that a BJP government is not formed,” Owaisi said.
He added that the AIMIM was willing to work with other opposition parties if they shared the same objective.
“If other opposition parties also have this objective, we are ready to join hands with them,” he said.

Owaisi Accuses Opposition of Ignoring Minority Issues
During his address, Owaisi criticised opposition parties for what he described as their failure to raise issues affecting minorities and other marginalised sections of society.
He alleged that mosques had been demolished and so-called “half encounters” continued under the BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh, while opposition parties remained silent.
Owaisi used the remarks to question the opposition’s response to issues concerning minorities and vulnerable communities.
