Iranian President and Foreign Minister Killed in Helicopter Crash in East Azerbaijan

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian died in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province on Sunday. The helicopter crashed in the Dizmar forest, located between the cities of Varzaqan and Jolfa.

The Iranian cabinet held an emergency session led by Vice President Mohammad Mokhber. The cabinet issued a statement extending condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation. disruption.
