The Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar. He will inaugurate multiple development projects valued at over Rs 1,500 crore and launch the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) worth Rs 1,800 crore.

According to a statement from the Press Information Bureau, on June 21 at 6:30 AM, Prime Minister Modi will lead the 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations at SKICC. He will address the gathering and participate in a Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session.

Stringent security measures have been implemented for the Prime Minister’s two-day visit, with over 7,000 participants expected to join him in performing Yoga on the banks of Dal Lake.

“Srinagar city has been declared as ‘Temporary Red Zone’ for drone operations,” the Srinagar Police announced, ensuring thorough security for the visit.

Preparations have been underway for several days, including training sessions for participants in various Yoga ‘Asanas’ that will be performed during the event.

Various yoga events have been organized across Srinagar and the valley ahead of the main celebration, demonstrating widespread participation in the 10th International Yoga Day.
