An Air India Express pilot passed away on Wednesday in the national capital due to a medical condition, shortly after operating a flight from Srinagar to Delhi, according to sources.
The pilot, in his late 30s, reportedly began feeling unwell after landing at Delhi airport. He was promptly taken to a hospital but passed away shortly after arrival.
An Air India Express spokesperson expressed sorrow over the incident, saying, “We deeply regret the loss of a valued colleague due to a medical condition. We are extending all possible assistance to them as we all cope with this tremendous loss.”
The airline also requested that privacy be respected during this time of loss, urging people to avoid unnecessary speculation while the relevant authorities carry out the necessary processes.
