Alleged Police Brutality Leaves Muslim Minor with Severe Injuries in Coimbatore, Family Accuses Police of Cover-up

TN Muslim minor beaten 11zon

A case of alleged police brutality has emerged as Shaikh Hasan, a minor hailing from Dharwad, Karnataka, was detained by the Coimbatore Police on suspicion of a crime, resulting in multiple bone fractures and severe injuries.

According to Hasan’s family, the ordeal began when the 17-year-old boy was detained from Bidar more than a month ago, ostensibly for his suspected involvement in a criminal case. They claim that he was subjected to physical abuse while in police custody, resulting in severe injuries, including fractures in his hands, legs, and ribs.

The police allegedly portrayed the incident as an accident, in an apparent effort to cover up their alleged actions. The family alleges that he was held without due process and subjected to inhumane treatment that resulted in the severe injuries he sustained.

Furthermore, the family claims that they have been threatened by the police with dire consequences if they decide to take legal action against the officers involved in the case.

Local authorities have yet to officially comment on the matter.
