Muslim Community and Panchayat in MP's Ambua Expel Man Over Alleged ‘Love Jihad’ Case

In Ambua village of Alirajpur district, Madhya Pradesh, the local Muslim community and village panchayat have decided to expel Vaseem Khan, son of Mohammad Khan, over his alleged involvement in a ‘love jihad’ case. On Friday, community representatives submitted a written complaint and memorandum to the Ambua police station formalizing their decision.

The memorandum stated that with the consent of the accused’s family and the village panchayat, Vaseem Khan has been removed from the community. Representatives of the Muslim society strongly condemned the alleged act, expressed solidarity with the victim, and demanded strict legal action against those involved.

The community also said that in the future, anyone involved in such unlawful activities will have no association with society. They said such incidents damage the reputation and dignity of the entire community, making strict legal measures against offenders essential.

Police officials confirmed that a case had already been registered, and the investigation is ongoing. The Ambua police in-charge assured that the memorandum will be acted upon, and appropriate legal action will follow.

Security Measures Strengthened Ahead of Jumma

Following the incident, authorities increased security in Ambua ahead of the first Friday prayers of Ramadan. Police personnel were deployed around the mosque and the Kumhar Mohalla area to maintain law and order. The administration stated that these measures ensured a peaceful environment, and the Friday prayers were conducted without any disruption.
