AP: 8-Yr-Old Girl ‘Raped & Murdered’ By 3 Minor Boys In Nandyala; Sniffer Dog Leads Police To Homes Of Accused

A young 8-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by three of her school seniors, all under the age of 14, in Muchumarri village, Andhra Pradesh. The girl, a Class III student, had gone to play in a local park on Sunday evening, but failed to return home, leaving her worried parents frantic with concern.

As the sun set and the girl did not return, her parents filed a police complaint, sparking a search operation that would uncover a horrific crime. The police launched an investigation, raiding several locations and utilizing a dog squad to assist in the search mission. The dogs, with their keen sense of smell, led the police to the crime scene and even stopped at the houses of the accused, helping to identify possible suspects.

Following initial questioning, the police took the accused boys into custody, and during intense interrogation, the boys confessed to the heinous crime, revealing the shocking details of how they lured the girl to a secluded spot, raped her, and then killed her to conceal their crime. The boys had allegedly covered the girl’s mouth and took turns raping her near a secluded spot by the Muchumarri irrigation project.

Fearing that she might disclose the incident to her parents, they killed her and disposed of her body in an irrigation canal, hoping to wash away evidence of their crime.

The police have not yet recovered the victim’s body, as the water level in the canal is deep, and there is a possibility that it may have been washed away to a distance due to the monsoon rains. Efforts are underway in the search operation to retrieve the body.
