The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Class 10 board results for 2026 on Sunday, revealing a pass percentage of 81.79% among 15.12 lakh candidates. Out of these, 1,235,743 students passed, with female students slightly outnumbering male students at 6,34,353 compared to 6,13,900.
Among the state’s top performers, two female students, Pushpanjali Kumari from Simultala and Sabreen Parveen from Vaishali, jointly topped the exam with 492 marks (98.4%). Nasreen Parveen from Bhojpur secured 486 marks (97.2%), placing her among the top five students of Bihar.
Nasreen’s Journey: Hard Work and Dedication
Speaking about her success, Nasreen said, “I am feeling very good. First of all, I want to give full credit for my success to my family. Along with that, I also want to give full credit to my self-study and learning on my own. I used to study for 8-9 hours every day. I received a lot of support from my family.”
Nasreen, a student of Ramdhani High School in Gadahani, Bhojpur, has emerged as a symbol of perseverance. Despite coming from a family with limited resources, she excelled through discipline and dedication. Her father, Ali Hasan, works as a daily-wage mason, supporting a large family of five children.
“Even with financial challenges, my father never let me stop studying. He ensured that my dreams were not limited by our circumstances,” Nasreen said.
Focused Learning Over Rote Memorization
Teachers highlight Nasreen’s methodical approach to learning. She attended school regularly and spent hours studying at home, focusing on understanding each subject deeply rather than rote memorization. Her teachers at Ramdhani High School said, “Nasreen has always been hardworking, disciplined, and curious. Her dedication is an example for other students.”
Toppers and Rankings
The top ranks were dominated by consistent performers: Nahid Sultana from Begusarai scored 489 marks (97.8%) securing the second rank, while the third rank was shared by Anupa Kumari from Buxar and Om Kumar from Begusarai with 488 marks (97.6%). Fourth rank went jointly to Jyoti Kumari, Anubhav Kumar, and Ansh Raj with 487 marks (97.4%). The fifth rank included five students, including Nasreen Parveen, each scoring 486 marks (97.2%).
Future Aspirations
Nasreen shared her dreams beyond academics: “I want to pursue higher education, improve my family’s financial situation, and earn a respectable place in society. I also want to help other people in need.”
She also offered advice to fellow students: “Success requires regular study, proper time management, and self-confidence. Do not fear failure; learn from it and move forward. Every student has the potential to achieve something special—identify it and work hard in the right direction.”

Candidates can check the Bihar Board Class 10 results by visiting the BSEB official websites. They need to click on the ‘10th Result’ link, enter their Roll Code and Roll Number, and download their results for reference.
While the Bihar Board had previously held the record for releasing Class 10 results first in India, this year the Rajasthan Board announced its results earlier. However, Bihar Board continues to lead in releasing Class 12 results, achieving the feat for the eighth consecutive year.
