In Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, a young Muslim man, Nabi Hasan, was assaulted by a group of men inside a college campus. The attackers allegedly forced him to lick their spit and subjected him to further humiliation, including making him do sit-ups holding his ears.

The assault, captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media, shows the perpetrators beating Hasan with a stick and belt, as a large crowd stood by without intervening to stop the violence.

Hasan’s family only became aware of the incident after seeing the viral video. His mother, speaking to media outlets, said that her son was threatened with a knife and remained silent about the attack out of fear. After questioning him about the video, he disclosed the details, prompting his mother to file a police complaint.

In her complaint, Hasan’s mother stated that her son was cornered at Banaras Bank Chowk while running household errands and dragged to the college campus. Despite Hasan’s pleas, the attackers continued their abuse, also snatching ₹2,000 from him, she alleged.

An FIR has been registered, but the accused remain at large.
