‘Bring Muslim Girls’: Ex-BJP MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh’s Hate Speech Sparks Outrage in UP

Raghvendra Pratap Singh

Former BJP MLA from Domariyaganj, Raghvendra Pratap Singh, has stirred controversy after a video of him making a hate-filled and inflammatory statement at a public meeting went viral on social media.

The incident reportedly took place on October 16 in Dhankharpur village under Bhawani Ganj police station limits of Siddharthnagar district, Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a gathering, Singh allegedly urged Hindu men to “bring Muslim girls”, claiming that those who do so would be “rewarded” with food, shelter, and jobs.

In the viral clip, Singh is heard saying, “They took away two of our girls; you bring ten Muslim girls. We will not accept anything less than ten for two. I announce that whoever brings them, we will arrange for his food, livelihood, and job. But what they have done is something we cannot tolerate. Muslims, listen — this will have a heavy price.”

His remarks have drawn sharp criticism from across political and social circles, with many demanding that the Uttar Pradesh Police take strict action against him for inciting hatred and communal violence.

Despite widespread condemnation, reports suggest that Singh has shown no remorse for his comments. The Siddharthnagar police have not yet issued an official statement regarding possible legal action.
