BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh criticized the Uttar Pradesh government’s “bulldozer policy,” arguing that building a home is extremely difficult these days.
He expressed his reservations against BJP’s bulldozer policy during a rally in Gonda district on Sunday, where he was campaigning for his son Karan Bhushan Singh, who is running for the BJP from Kaiser Ganj seat.
Brij Bhushan said, “… I said from a public platform that I am against the bulldozer policy; it’s very difficult to build a home. Brij Bhushan Singh is the kind of person who understands your pain and sorrow, that’s why I said that building a home is very difficult…”..
During his speech, Brij Bhushan also appealed to the Muslim voters for their support, saying that “Muslims have also made up their minds” to vote for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the current MP from Kaiserganj, was not nominated by the BJP for the Lok Sabha polls this year following the sexual harassment allegations by six women wrestlers. Instead, his son was fielded as the party’s candidate for the same seat.
Additionally, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on May 10, 2024 delivered a verdict that sexual harassment charges be framed against Brij Bhushan following his chargesheet dated June 2023. The court has scheduled the framing of charges for May 21.
The polling in Kaiserganj is scheduled for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20, with the counting of votes taking place on June 4.
