A 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly killed in Aurangabad, Bihar, after she refused to entertain casteist remarks while playing Holi. The accused—Ranjay Kumar alias Sunny Singh, Vinod Singh, and Sanjay Singh—allegedly ran a vehicle over the girl following an altercation.

According to the FIR, the girl was celebrating Holi with her cousins when the accused hurled casteist slurs at them. Her father, Rajkumar Paswan, stated in his complaint:
“The men started verbally abusing the girls. They said, ‘You Harijan girls want to play Holi? Come, we will play Holi with you.’”

When the girls ignored them, the accused allegedly rammed their vehicle into them, killing the 13-year-old on the spot.

Despite the widespread outrage on social media demanding strict action, no arrests have been made so far. The victim’s family also alleged that the FIR was registered a day after the incident, raising concerns over police inaction.

One of the accused, Ranjay Kumar, is the son of Manoj Singh, former district president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), which is currently in alliance with the BJP. Manoj Singh has defended his son, claiming:
“No one had the intention to commit murder. The driver lost control of the vehicle. This is politically motivated to tarnish my image.”

Meanwhile, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has not yet responded to the allegations.
