In Delhi, a 14-year-old Muslim boy was sexually assaulted, filmed, and stabbed 24 times before his body was dumped in Munak Canal. Police have arrested nine people, including three minors, in connection with the case.

The boy’s body was found in the canal on July 1 with multiple stab wounds and a scarf tied around his neck. The post-mortem report confirmed he had been sexually assaulted before being killed. According to police, the accused recorded the entire act on a mobile phone which was later recovered.

DCP Hareshwar V Swami said, “The main accused, Krishna and his brother Sumit, suspected the boy was passing information to their rivals. They planned the attack for months before carrying it out on June 29-30.” Police revealed the boy was abducted, stripped, gagged and brutally stabbed before being thrown into the canal.

Police disguised themselves as religious pilgrims to arrest three minor suspects hiding at a Kanwar camp in Meerut. “We have strong evidence including the murder weapon and the motorcycle used in the crime,” a police officer stated.

Police confirm all nine accused are now in custody as investigations continue.

(Names of minors involved have been withheld to protect identities as per legal guidelines.)
