Delhi: 39-Year-Old Son Arrested for Repeatedly Raping 65-Year-Old Mother

Delhi Police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly raping his elderly mother multiple times, with the victim stating her son claimed he was “punishing” her for suspected infidelity from years ago.

The horrific crimes came to light when the 65-year-old homemaker, accompanied by her 25-year-old daughter, approached Hauz Qazi police station this week. According to her complaint, the accused – identified as Md Firoz alias Suhel – first attacked her on August 1, the day she returned from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia with her 72-year-old husband and daughter.

“During their trip, the son had called repeatedly, accusing his mother of having an affair and demanding his father divorce her,” a senior police officer told PTI. After their return, the unemployed graduate allegedly assaulted his mother twice – on August 1 and 2 – forcing her to temporarily move to her elder daughter’s in-laws’ house for safety.

The situation escalated on August 11 when Firoz allegedly locked his mother in a room, threatened her with a knife and scissors, and raped her. “He repeated the assault on August 14 at 3:30 AM,” the officer added. The traumatized woman only approached police after the second incident, having initially stayed silent out of shame and fear.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and taken the accused into custody. Investigators confirm Firoz is a graduate but currently jobless, while his father is a retired government employee.

“This is among the most disturbing cases of domestic sexual violence we’ve encountered,” the investigating officer stated.
