Delhi Businessman Mohammed Arib Murdered by Rahul and Babu in Faridabad, Body Found Mutilated With Torso Partly Eaten by Animals

Mohammed Arib, Delhi scrap businessman found dead in Faridabad forest.
Mohammed Arib, a 31-year-old Delhi-based scrap trader whose body was recovered from a forest area in Faridabad after he was reported missing.

The dead body of 31-year-old Delhi businessman Mohammed Arib was recovered from a forest area on Tuesday in Haryana’s Faridabad after he was reported missing earlier this month, with police alleging that he was murdered following a monetary dispute related to his scrap business.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, Arib was allegedly lured to Ballabhgarh on the pretext of being shown goods before he was tied up and killed. Officials say the accused also robbed him of cash and his scooter.

Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the case, identified as Rahul and Babu.

Alleged Plot to Lure the Victim

According to police statements cited in the Amar Ujala report, the accused allegedly called Arib to Ballabhgarh under the pretext of showing him merchandise related to business.

Once he reached the location, police say the accused tied his hands and killed him.

Authorities also allege that the accused took away ₹2.5 lakh in cash and Arib’s scooter after committing the crime.

The body was later recovered from a forest area in Faridabad.

Body Found in Mutilated Condition

Police said the body was discovered in a severely mutilated state.

According to the Amar Ujala report, the lower portion of the torso had been partially eaten by animals, suggesting the body had been lying in the forest area for some time before it was found.

According to the Delhi Police, a missing person report was registered at Chandni Mahal Police Station late on March 7 after Arib failed to return home.

Family members told police that Arib, who dealt in scrap tools, had left for Faridabad the same day carrying around ₹2.5 lakh in cash for business purposes.

When he did not return, his family approached the police.

The body has now been sent for post-mortem examination as investigators attempt to establish the exact cause and timeline of death.

Arrests and Investigation

During the initial inquiry, investigators found that Arib had last been in contact with a man named Harsh (25).

Police apprehended Harsh for questioning, during which he reportedly told investigators that he had given his mobile phone to another man named Rahul, who had been living in a rented accommodation in Faridabad.

Given the suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance, police registered FIR No. 180/26 under Section 140(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (abduction) at Chandni Mahal police station on March 10.

A police team was then dispatched to Faridabad to locate Rahul and trace Arib.

Accused Traced to Aligarh

When officers reached the rented premises in Faridabad, they found that Rahul had already vacated the accommodation and returned to his native place in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Police subsequently traced him there and brought him in for questioning.

According to police officials, during preliminary interrogation Rahul allegedly confessed that Arib had been murdered in Faridabad and that another individual named Babu was also involved.

Police say the suspected motive appears to be a financial dispute linked to their scrap business dealings.

Case Transferred to Faridabad Police

Officials said the place of occurrence and recovery of the body fall within the jurisdiction of Faridabad Police, and therefore the case has been transferred to them.

The accused have been handed over to Faridabad Police, which will continue the investigation in accordance with the law.
