Former Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Vinayak Raut, his son and several family members have been booked after his daughter-in-law accused them of subjecting her to alleged black magic rituals and forcing her to drink cow urine.

The FIR was registered at Kapurbawdi Police Station in Thane based on a complaint filed by Girija Raut, the wife of Vinayak Raut’s son.

Daughter-in-Law Alleges Black Magic Rituals

According to the complaint, Girija Raut alleged that members of the family forced her to consume cow urine as part of religious rituals.

She further claimed that she was subjected to black magic practices and alleged that her hair was forcibly pulled out during the rituals. The complaint also names two individuals identified as Firoz Baba and Qazi Baba, alleging their involvement in the rituals.

Based on the allegations, police have registered a case under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, commonly known as the Anti-Superstition Act.

Who Has Been Named in the FIR?

Apart from former MP Vinayak Raut, the FIR names his son, corporator Gitesh Raut, and other members of the family. Two religious figures identified as Firoz Baba and Qazi Baba have also been booked.

The allegations are part of the complaint filed by Girija Raut, and police have not yet publicly disclosed the family’s response to the accusations.

Police Begin Investigation

Police have launched an investigation into the allegations to verify the claims made in the complaint.

Vinayak Raut is a senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and a former Member of Parliament from Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency. His son, Gitesh Raut, currently serves as a corporator.

Authorities said the case is under investigation, and further action will depend on the findings of the probe.
