Forces early Friday morning demolished the house of Delhi car blast accused Dr Umar Mohammad in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.
According to officials, the demolition took place around 2:30 am in Koil village, where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used to bring down the structure.
The action follows Dr Umar being identified as the prime accused in the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday, an explosion that killed 13 people and left 20 others injured.
On Thursday, investigators confirmed through DNA testing that Umar Mohammad was the driver of the vehicle that exploded. His DNA samples matched 100 percent with those of his mother and brother, who had been detained earlier for identification purposes.
Security forces continue further investigation into the case.
