Former BJP MP and actor Paresh Rawal has caused a stir on social media after sharing a controversial health claim. In a video that has been widely circulated, Rawal revealed that he drank his own urine to help recover from an injury. He explained that the advice came from Veeru Devgan, the father of actor Ajay Devgn, who told him to drink his first urine of the day for faster healing while also avoiding alcohol, red meat, and smoking.

Rawal said he followed this advice for 15 days while hospitalized, and when his doctor examined him later, he was amazed at the rapid healing. Rawal even joked that he drank the urine “like beer” to make sure he was doing it right. According to him, the doctor was shocked by the progress, noting a “white line” on his X-ray, which indicated improvement. Rawal was discharged in less than two months, ahead of the expected time.

The video, however, has sparked a strong backlash. Many people on social media criticized the actor for promoting such an unconventional and unscientific method.

Despite the criticism, some defended Rawal, saying he was simply sharing a personal experience.
