J&K Govt Dismisses Three Employees Over Alleged Militant Links

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has dismissed three government employees for alleged links to militancy, invoking Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, which allows termination without inquiry in the interest of national security.

The dismissed employees include police constable Firdous Ahmad Bhat, teacher Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, and forest department orderly Nisar Ahmad Khan.

All three are currently in jail for alleged involvement in activities deemed a threat to state security, officials said.

The administration cited credible intelligence and ongoing investigations as the basis for its decision, highlighting its “zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and any support for it.”

This action is part of the administration’s continued efforts to remove government employees suspected of militant links.

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, numerous employees have been terminated on similar grounds.
