Karnataka: Four Members Of Muslim Family Murdered in Udupi

In Trupthi Nagar, Udupi, four members of a Muslim family were brutally murdered in their residence. The victims were identified as Haseena (46), her daughter Afnan (23), Aynaz (21), and son Aseem (12). Haseena’s husband, who works in Dubai, was not present at the time of the attack.

According to the police, the assailant, who was wearing a mask, forcefully entered the house and stabbed the victims in their chests and abdomens. Aseem, who was playing outside, also fell victim to the attacker upon returning to the house. Haseena’s mother-in-law was assaulted, and a young girl in the neighborhood, attempting to raise an alarm, was threatened by the assailant.

The murderer did not take any valuables from the home, leaving investigators puzzled about the motive behind the gruesome act. Afnan, one of the victims, was on leave from her job at Air India and had returned home on the fateful Sunday.

The police have taken two individuals into custody for questioning and have formed five special teams, each led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), to intensify the investigation. Authorities have collected video footage showing the accused disembarking from an auto near the crime scene and falling from a bike.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) [Officer’s Name], leading one of the teams, stated, “We are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to apprehend the perpetrator. The investigation is progressing, and we are examining all possible leads to bring justice to the grieving family.”

The motive behind the brutal murders is yet to be confirmed, and police are considering various possibilities, including whether it could be an act of a jilted lover. The police are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
