Iran’s air defence forces reported Israeli air attacks targeting military positions in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces on Saturday morning. In a statement, the air defence force noted that the attacks, which Iran called “criminal and illegal” actions by Israel, had led to limited damage in some areas.

The statement added, “Despite previous warnings, this fake regime attacked parts of military centers in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam in a tension-causing action.” It also confirmed that Iran’s integrated air defence system intercepted and countered the attacks successfully. Security sources explained that loud sounds reported in the Tehran vicinity were from air defence systems intercepting adversarial targets.

Iran’s IRNA news agency noted that Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini International Airports remained unaffected. Footage shared online showed the interceptions over Tehran, and Tasnim News Agency confirmed no impact on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) centres.

Informed sources highlighted Iran’s readiness to respond, stating that “Iran reserves its right to respond to any form of aggression” and warned of a proportional response to any further actions from Israel.
