A shocking case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district, where a Hindu right-wing leader has been accused of conspiring to falsely implicate two Muslim youths in a “love jihad” and gangrape case.
The incident took place on Saturday in Meerut’s Jagriti Vihar Extension area, where some people linked to the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) stopped a car carrying two Muslim youths and a young woman. The youths, identified as Jishan and Shahvez, were accused of taking a Hindu woman with them under suspicious circumstances.
Following the complaint, police reached the spot and took all three individuals to the police station for questioning.
Police Probe Reveals Alleged Conspiracy
However, after nearly five hours of investigation, the case reportedly took a dramatic turn.
According to police, the woman later revealed that the entire incident had allegedly been planned by Nakul Gurjar, who is said to have links with the VHP.

The woman, identified as Bhawna, a resident of Syana in Bulandshahr, told police that she had known Nakul for around one and a half years.
She allegedly told investigators that Nakul had offered her money and promised a job if she helped trap Jishan and Shahvez in a criminal case.
Police sources claimed the alleged plan involved falsely accusing the Muslim youths of gangrape and “love jihad” in order to extort ₹10 lakh from them.
How the Alleged Trap Was Planned
According to the investigation, Jishan runs a domestic help agency and arranges workers for households.
Police said Nakul allegedly arranged for Bhawna’s contact number to be sent to Jishan through another person, claiming she was looking for work.
Jishan later contacted the woman and called her to Jagriti Vihar Extension regarding employment. Shahvez was also present in the car at the time.
Investigators alleged that before entering the vehicle, Bhawna had already shared the car’s photograph and her live location with Nakul.
Soon after, Nakul and his associates allegedly arrived at the location and created a scene, accusing the youths of “love jihad.”

Previous Gangrape Case Against Nakul
As police intensified their investigation, an old video of Nakul Gurjar reportedly surfaced on social media.
The video allegedly shows Nakul being welcomed with flower garlands after being released on bail from jail in a gangrape case registered against him nearly a year ago.
Reports claim Nakul had previously been arrested and sent to jail in connection with that case before securing bail.
Police officials said the viral video has also been taken into consideration during the ongoing investigation.
Police Register Case, Investigation Continues
Meerut police said a case has been registered against Nakul Gurjar and teams have been formed to arrest him.
According to officials, Jishan and Shahvez were initially detained after the complaint but developments during questioning changed the direction of the investigation.
Uttar Pradesh police officer Suchita Singh said police have filed a case from their side and further investigation is underway.
Authorities said the woman was medically examined and found safe. Police also verified her age through school documents after she initially claimed to be 16; officials said she was found to be 19 years old.
Police said all aspects of the case are being investigated, while efforts continue to trace Nakul Gurjar.
