Muslim Delivery Boy Assaulted Over Religion in Hyderabad's Old City, Case Registered

In Hyderabad’s Old City, a delivery boy was attacked on the basis of his religion. Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of Talab Katta, was assaulted on Tuesday night at Moghalpura while delivering a parcel to Sultan Shahi. The attackers, whose identities are yet unknown, questioned him about his name and religion before launching the attack.

Nadeem sustained serious injuries and was initially treated at Osmania Hospital. After receiving first aid, he tried to go to the Moghalpura police station to file a complaint but collapsed due to his condition and was readmitted to the hospital.

Amjadullah Khan, spokesperson of Majlis Bachao Tehreek, visited Nadeem and demanded immediate action against the perpetrators. The Moghalpura Police have registered a case under sections 117(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (BNS) Act.
