Yoga guru Swami Ramdev has said that the real threat in the country is not to any particular religious or social community but to its children and young people. His remarks came amid protests by students and job aspirants over issues related to education and recruitment.

Ramdev said, “Neither Hindus are in danger, nor Muslims, nor Dalits, nor tribals. In reality, the country’s childhood is in danger. The country’s youth is in danger.”

‘Present and Future of Country Are at Risk’

Speaking about the wider situation, Ramdev said the country’s present and future were at risk, along with its culture, civilisation and sovereignty.

He said, “Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras, Dalits, tribals, forest-dwelling communities or SC/ST communities are not in danger. In reality, the country’s children and young generation, its present and future, its nature, culture and civilisation, and its unity and sovereignty are in danger.”

Ramdev also said that anger can emerge when people face disorder and injustice.

Ramdev Says Children Should Not Be Used in Protests

The yoga guru also criticised the involvement of children in protests, saying they should not be pushed into demonstrations.

He alleged that some people were using children during protests and said, “Children should not be pushed into protests. This does not happen anywhere else in the world.”

Ramdev stressed that protests should not turn into disorder and that children should not be exploited in the name of movements.

‘Education and Healthcare Need Improvement’

Ramdev also acknowledged problems in the country’s education and healthcare sectors.

He said these sectors need to move in the right direction and called for reforms rather than disorder in the name of protests.

His comments come as students and young job aspirants in several parts of the country have been raising concerns over examination irregularities, recruitment processes and alleged corruption.

Ramdev Had Earlier Alleged Recruitment Irregularities

Ramdev had also spoken about alleged irregularities in government recruitment interviews during his Independence Day remarks.

He claimed, “There is 90 to 99 per cent corruption during interviews for government jobs.”

He alleged that people connected to particular organisations, communities, castes or groups were favoured while others were excluded.

Ramdev had also warned of launching a movement if the recruitment system was not corrected, saying that widespread anger among young people was leading to protests in different places.
