A police constable was captured on video brutally thrashing a young man in Hyderabad’s Rasoolpura area late last night, leading to a fervent protest organized by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
The incident transpired within the jurisdiction of Chaderghat police station, and the video clip of the constable assaulting the youth with his lathi rapidly circulated on various social media platforms.
The victim of this merciless assault, identified as Sami Khan, was transported to Osmania Hospital for medical attention.
AIMIM voiced its condemnation of the incident and demanded immediate action against the police officer responsible for this horrific act.
According to party leaders, the youth, Sami Khan, was subjected to a severe beating by the police constable without any apparent provocation. Sami Khan was reportedly peacefully seated in the area when a police patrol team was conducting a routine round.
Additionally, AIMIM leaders have raised concerns about the alleged inebriated state of the involved police constable Chary.
