The Congress party has faced another defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, failing to win a single seat for the third time in a row.
On Saturday, party leader Rahul Gandhi accepted the results and thanked supporters. “We humbly accept the mandate of Delhi,” Gandhi wrote on X.
“Heartfelt thanks to all the Congress workers of the state for their dedication and all the voters for their support.”
Despite the loss, he said the party will keep fighting on important issues.
“This fight for the progress of Delhi and the rights of Delhiites – against pollution, inflation, and corruption – will continue,” he added.
The Congress once ruled Delhi for 15 years but has struggled to make a comeback since losing power in 2013.
