Three policemen, including a sub-inspector, were among four men booked for allegedly raping a woman constable in Rajasthan’s Churu district, PTI reported.

According to Siddhmukh station house officer Imran Khan, the woman constable, in a complaint submitted to the Churu superintendent of police, alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the four accused in 2017 during her posting at the Sardarshahar police station.

Following her complaint, a case was registered against the four men at the Siddhmukh police station.

One of the accused is sub-inspector Subhash, who was serving as the station house officer of Sardarshahar police station at the time of the alleged incident. Two other accused, Ravindra and Jaiveer, were posted as constables at the same police station. The fourth accused has been identified as Vikki.

The woman constable is currently under suspension for indiscipline, the SHO said, adding that the case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
