Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament (MP), has made serious allegations against Jaykumar Gore, a Maharashtra BJP minister. Raut accused Gore of sending obscene pictures to a woman, specifically alleging that Gore molested a woman from the Hambirrao Mohite family, a renowned Maratha warrior lineage.

Raut has stated that the victim plans to stage a protest in front of the Vidhan Sabha in the coming days, and he said that the issue should be raised in the Legislative Assembly. Raut further called for Gore’s removal, saying, “Such ministers should be kicked out.”

Jaykumar Gore is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Man-Khatav constituency in Satara district, Maharashtra. He is currently the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in Maharashtra. Gore was initially a Congress MLA but switched to the BJP in 2019.

The accusations date back to 2016, when a case was filed against Gore for sending objectionable photos to a woman. The woman filed a complaint against him, leading Gore to approach the Satara District Court and the Mumbai High Court to avoid arrest. Despite his legal efforts, the court rejected his bail application, and Gore was sent to jail for 10 days.

Although the case was reportedly settled, the victim sent a letter to the Governor in January 2025, alleging that her personal information, including her name and address, was being widely shared on various WhatsApp groups.

In response to the allegations, Jaykumar Gore defended himself by pointing out that the case had been settled in 2019. He claimed that the court had acquitted him and ordered the destruction of seized materials. Gore stated, “The Supreme Court is the highest in a democracy. It has been six years since this court verdict. This case has come to light after six years. Political leaders should set limits on what to say at what time.”
