Two J&K Government Teachers Dismissed Over Alleged ‘Anti-National Activities’

fired

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the dismissal of two government employees accused of involvement in activities considered harmful to India’s sovereignty and integrity.

According to Kashmir Dot Com, the employees have been identified as Ghulam Hussain and Majid Iqbal Dar, both teachers in the Education Department. Their services were terminated under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, which allows the government to remove an employee without holding an inquiry if it is deemed necessary for the security of the state.

Officials said the two were allegedly linked to terror outfits and involved in spreading anti-national propaganda. The move is part of an ongoing crackdown on government employees suspected of having connections with terrorist groups or supporting separatist activities.

Since 2021, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have dismissed several employees from different departments under the same provision, citing the administration’s “zero-tolerance policy” towards “terrorism and separatism” in the Union Territory.
