UP: Muslim Man Lynched to Death After Taraweeh Prayers in Bahraich

A 35-year-old Muslim man, Wakil Ahmed, was beaten to death while returning home after offering Taraweeh prayers in Bahraich City, Uttar Pradesh, around 11 pm on Monday.

Videos of the incident, depicting Ahmed’s naked body with serious wounds, have circulated on social media platforms.

In response to the killing, Bahraich police officials have launched an investigation.

According to police reports, the deceased operated a shop and was on his way home after closing it late in the evening.

A senior police official addressed the media, confirming that the body had been sent for post-mortem examination.

“We have sent the body for autopsy, and a probe has been launched to nab all culprits involved in the heinous crime. Further investigation is underway,” the police officer stated.
