According to the report, a group of eight youths barged into the house, citing a police complaint filed by the victim.

Four of the accused escorted the victim to the third floor of the building, while the remaining four threatened her brother and three other children present.

Three of the four accused who had taken the victim upstairs raped her in turn. They ran away when the girl cried out for help.

The police opened an investigation and took the victim to the Sakhi Centre for medical examination. To apprehend the accused, police have formed seven teams. They were reviewing CCTV footage in order to identify the perpetrators.
