On Friday, November 10, a four-year-old Dalit was allegedly raped by a sub-inspector, Bhupendra Singh, who was on election duty in the Lalsot area of Rajasthan. The accused is reported to have lured the young girl into his room, where the assault took place.
The child was discovered by her family members, who rushed her to a nearby government hospital for urgent medical attention. Enraged villagers gathered in large numbers and surrounded the Rahuwas police station in Dausa district on Saturday.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Bajrang Singh stated, “Based on the complaint by a family against the sub-inspector, a case has been registered in Rahuwas police station. A medical examination is being conducted on the minor girl. Necessary action will be taken.”
Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kirodi Lal Meena announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the victim’s family. Meena said, “I have come here to help the girl. For me, elections come afterward, and my first priority will be giving the family justice.”
Director General of Police Umesh Mishra declared that an order of dismissal for the accused sub-inspector has been issued.
